Yes! Real kids write real articles and draw real art for the newspaper. They cut and paste their work on real paper that is copied and sewn together. Paper editions of KID NEWS are big like real newspapers too. An opened edition measures 22 inches across and 11 inches down—it is wide enough to totally block your face when you read it!

CAN I SUBMIT A STORY OR POEM THAT I WROTE ?
Yep! Use the contact form to send in your original creative news article, feature, poem, etc. The kid editors might choose to include it! You need to be between the ages of 2 and 18. If you are a very young child, you can say your thoughts out loud to a special grown-up who can type what you say—that is how the kid reporters started writing their articles! There is no payment for submissions or writing used, but you will have a byline.
CAN I SUBMIT MY KID ARTWORK TO BE USED IN THE NEWSPAPER?
Yes! Awesome! Make sure that the drawing is in dark ink because pencil doesn’t show when copied. You need to be between the ages of 2 and 18. There is no payment for submissions or art used, but you will have a byline.

Ren’s favorite animal is the red panda. These adorable, harmless creatures are not doing so well in the wild and are considered endangered.
